Barcelona has become a fashion city mainly among gay tourists. The number of business of all type aimed to a gay public has grown enormously and they concentrate around the “Gayxample” an area of the city between the streets Rambla Catalunya / Villarroel & Gran Vía / Aragón. There you can find gay bars, gay discos and gay saunas for all choices and gay / gay friendly hotels or gay / gay friendly guest houses of different prices where to stay.

It's a safe city with many possibilities to go cruising on parks & beaches, but like everywhere else there's always somebody waiting to take advantage of incautious visitors.

Sitges has been for long some sort of gay paradise. It's a beautiful seaside village with a big amount of gay or gay run business. The atmosphere you will find is very liberal among it's inhabitants but we can't say the same about the authorities who sometime have a ridiculous attitude more proper of the 50's than of the 21st century. An example could be this year's prohibition to walk around the city wearing only swimming costume.
